I started with snapping pictures, but I quickly realized that these objects needed to be experienced in three dimensions—like an art installation. Each angle, each side holds a hidden discovery. So I took advantage of my phone's LiDAR sensor, using it like a camera that captures objects in 3D.
To me, these scans are like nature photos. I wasn't creating anything new, but rather capturing the creative impulses of countless individuals. In a way, being an outsider helped me appreciate these urban artifacts. I chose Instagram as the platform to showcase these scans with AR filters because it's accessible and allows people to interact with the art from wherever they are.
